Sri Lanka’s parliament is set to convene on April 7, 9, and 10 to discuss a range of legislative matters, including the Easter attack and a no-confidence motion targeting the energy minister, as per a government announcement.

On April 7, various bills and orders will be reviewed, as indicated by Secretary General of Parliament, Kushani Rohanadeera.

The session on April 9 will feature an adjournment debate focusing on the Navy and Air Force Acts, as well as issues surrounding the Easter attack.

On April 10, the parliament will address the no-confidence motion filed against Energy Minister Kumara Jayakody.

Please note that parliament will not convene on Wednesday, April 8, due to it being declared a public holiday by the government. (Colombo/Apr6/2026)
