The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to release the results for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 paper 2 shortly. This examination included two components: paper 2A, which pertains to Bachelor of Architecture (BArch), and paper 2B, which relates to Bachelor of Planning (BPlanning). The exam was conducted on April 7, and the final answer keys for JEE Main were made available on May 4. Once the results are published, candidates will be able to access them at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
No questions have been excluded from the final answer key for JEE Main 2026 paper 2. For further information regarding the JEE Main, please refer to IE Education.
The structure of the examination is as follows:
- Part I – Mathematics: 20 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in Section A and 5 numerical questions in Section B, totaling 100 marks.
- Part II – Aptitude Test: 50 MCQs worth 200 marks.
- Part III – Drawing Test: 2 questions in pen-and-paper format, accounting for another 100 marks.
This results in a total of 77 questions across the three sections, with a maximum score of 400 marks. Scoring is as follows:
- Correct answer: +4 marks
- Incorrect answer: -1 mark (no negative marking for the Drawing Test)
- Unanswered: 0 marks
For numerical questions, candidates are required to submit answers as whole numbers rounded to the nearest integer.
In the context of the BArch and BPlanning assessments, raw scores are transformed into NTA scores, and a cumulative merit list is established by integrating scores from all shifts and sessions. In the event of a tie in scores, ranks will be determined using the following criteria:
- Highest NTA score in Mathematics
- Aptitude Test score
- Drawing Test score (for BArch) or Planning section score (for BPlanning)
- Fewer incorrect answers compared to correct responses
- Accuracy in each section
If a tie remains after applying these criteria, the candidates will receive the same rank.
In cases where questions have multiple correct answers, candidates who select any of the correct choices will receive full credit. If all options are deemed correct, every candidate who answers that question will receive full marks. Additionally, if a question is excluded, all candidates in that particular shift will be awarded full credit for that question.
