The DMK, led by MK Stalin, has criticized its ally in the INDIA coalition, the Congress party, labeling them as “backstabbers.” DMK spokesperson Saravanan Annadurai stated that his party does not approve of Congress’s decision to support the Tamil Nadu Vanniyar Katchi (TVK) in its efforts to establish a government in the state.

According to a report from PTI, the Congress made this decision during a late-night meeting of its Parliamentary Affairs Committee.

In a social media post featuring a photo of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi alongside TVK leader Vijay, Annadurai remarked, “Some clever individual from Congress has really messed up.”

Highlighting that Congress holds only five seats in the assembly, Annadurai accused the party of making a “complete fool of themselves” and questioned who TVK would rely on for support, as the AIADMK, which has 43 seats, is now prepared to back TVK. He emphasized that Congress would not be able to surpass the majority threshold.

It is worth noting that the Congress had previously contested the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections in collaboration with the DMK.
