The most recent financial statements released by the Premier League indicate that Chief Executive Richard Masters earned a performance-related bonus of £1 million.
The financial documents for the fiscal year concluding on July 31, 2025, were made available on Companies House on Tuesday, highlighting an increase in Masters’ compensation.
In 2024, Masters received a total of £1.9 million, but his earnings included a £1.1 million bonus last year as part of a long-term incentive program.
This adjustment raises his annual income to £2.6 million as he nears the completion of seven years in his role as CEO. Prior to his time at the Premier League, Masters spent six years with the England and Wales Cricket Board starting in 1994, followed by a period at the English Football League before joining the Premier League in 2006.
He was appointed as interim chief executive at the end of 2018 and officially took on the title a year later.
Throughout his notable tenure, he has played a crucial role in guiding the league through the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and successfully countered the threat of the European Super League in 2021.
