Colombo Market Experiences Minor Dip with a Turnover of Rs. 4.92 Billion

The primary indices of the Colombo Stock Exchange experienced a minor decline on Monday, November 11. The All Share Price Index (ASPI) decreased by 52.26 points, concluding the day at 23,011.72. Similarly, the S&P SL20 Index saw a reduction of 19.22 points, finishing at 6,300.02.

On that day, the total market turnover reached Rs. 4.92 billion. Local investors engaged in transactions amounting to Rs. 4.26 billion in purchases and Rs. 4.86 billion in sales.

In contrast, foreign investors exhibited a net buying position, with foreign purchases totaling Rs. 661 million against sales of Rs. 64 million, resulting in a net inflow of Rs. 597 million.

Seylan Bank played a vital role in the day’s trading activity, with its shares generating a turnover of Rs. 2.78 billion.
