During their discussion, Farah commented, “I feel like I have arrived in Kolkata.” Tanishaa shared that much of her home’s furniture was passed down from her family’s previous residence. When Farah inquired if the items belonged to her mother, Tanishaa affirmed, “Yes, my mum’s house. This is all my mum’s furniture because my dad was not a very homely person. I moved here about 14 years ago and now I feel settled. Mumbai has changed significantly, especially with the construction of the Sea Link.”
The home also acts as a vital hub for family and friends. While showcasing the dining space, Tanishaa emphasized that family members frequently gather there, responding affirmatively when asked about these occasions. She pointed to a large chair from her father, stating, “This is my dad’s chair,” and humorously added, “All the Mukerji brothers are extra large, so they fit only on that chair.”
Another prominent feature of the home is its spacious terrace garden. Proudly discussing the plants, Tanishaa mentioned that she nurtured them herself. This terrace serves as a social area, with Tanishaa admitting, “Yes, I am a party person. Every Holi, we host a gathering here — typically a sundowner with close friends and family.”
As the conversation progressed, Farah playfully inquired about her sister Kajol’s role in the home’s creation, asking, “What’s Kajol’s contribution in all this?” Tanishaa candidly replied, “She paid for it!” When Farah laughed and remarked, “Okay, well done.
