Authorities have confirmed that a helicopter belonging to the Royal Navy has gone down in a field located in Devon.
Emergency response teams are currently present at the site of the accident, which occurred at Sourton Down, in proximity to Okehampton.
As a result of the incident, several roads in the vicinity, including the A386 and the A30 at the Sourton Cross slip and services area, are closed to traffic.
A representative from the Devon and Cornwall police stated, “The situation is still developing, and we will provide further updates as they become available. The Ministry of Defence has verified that the aircraft involved was a Royal Navy helicopter.”
