According to multiple sources informed about the situation, President Trump is likely to put forward Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche’s name for a permanent appointment in that position, as reported by CBS News.
Blanche has been at the helm of the Justice Department in an acting capacity since the dismissal of Attorney General Pam Bondi in April. Prior to this role, he held the position of deputy attorney general and was also one of Mr. Trump’s personal defense lawyers.
