The trailer for “Welcome To The Jungle” was revealed at a significant event in Mumbai on Thursday, where emotions ran high as Akshay Kumar discussed the topic of retirement and paid homage to the late Neeraj Vora and Pankaj Dheer.

During the trailer launch, Akshay expressed his mixed feelings about retirement, stating, “At times, the thought of retiring crosses my mind, especially at 4 am when I wake up. However, within moments, I recall that I have a shoot ahead, with 300 people relying on me. I then reassure myself that I will contemplate retirement another day; after 36 years in this industry, I wonder what would happen if I did retire. Would I become an electrician, a dog walker, or a gardener? Thus, I believe it’s best to keep working rather than retire. I try to enjoy time with my family, but even after a day away, they ask when I’ll be back to work. I find the concept of retirement very unsettling. Ideally, one should only retire just before they pass away. To enjoy a long life, one should continue to work.”

Furthermore, Akshay revealed that the script for “Welcome To The Jungle” was penned by Neeraj Vora. He refuted claims regarding his fee for the film, clarifying, “Whoever said I charged Rs 1.7 crore for this film is mistaken; I didn’t even earn that much. This film is significant to me because it carries Neeraj Vora’s story. I have always acknowledged in my interviews how much I have learned about comedy from Priyadarshan, Rajkumar Santoshi, and Neeraj Vora. Neeraj was a great teacher. I’ve known Firoz Nadiadwala for 36 years and sought his guidance during my early struggles.”

Akshay also reminisced about Pankaj Dheer, stating, “I collaborated with Pankaj Dheer sahab in my debut film, where he played the villain. This film marks his last appearance. My love goes out to you, Pankaj, wherever you are.”
