The registration for the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2027 is set to commence on July 15. XLRI Jamshedpur has introduced a new initiative that ensures candidates who register on the first day will receive their preferred test city.
As per XLRI’s announcement, those who finalize their registration on July 15, 2026, will be assigned their chosen exam city, with the confirmation of the designated center expected to be communicated by August 5, 2026. This initiative aims to assist candidates in organizing their travel plans and concentrating on their exam preparations well ahead of time.
XAT, overseen by XLRI on behalf of the Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI), is among the oldest and most recognized management entrance exams in India. The test is accepted by over 250 business schools and is administered in more than 100 cities nationwide.
Dr. Rahul Shukla, the Convenor for XAT 2027, highlighted that the examination has been a reliable pathway to high-quality management education for many years. He emphasized, “For XAT 2027, we aim to enhance this value while implementing new initiatives that assist candidates in their preparation and provide a more supportive and student-friendly testing experience.”
The exam is open to graduates from any field of study, regardless of their professional background. To aid candidates, XLRI will provide various resources for XAT 2027, including multiple mock tests, live webinars featuring the convenor, and online interaction sessions with top performers from previous years.
XAT is conducted in a single session without score normalization and serves as the entrance examination for MBA and PGDM programs at XLRI and several other participating management institutions across the country.
