The Odisha Department of School and Mass Education has announced the release of the first merit list for the 2026 SAMS Odisha +2 admissions, which pertains to Higher Secondary (Class 11) courses. Students who registered via the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) can now verify the status of their seat allotment by visiting the official website, hss.samsodisha.gov.in.

Those who have been assigned seats in this initial round are required to complete the admission procedures within the specified timeframe. Admission will only be finalized after the verification of documents and the payment of the necessary fees at the designated Higher Secondary School.

To check their allotment, candidates should follow these steps:

• Access the official SAMS Odisha website at hss.samsodisha.gov.in.
• Select the link for the +2 First Selection Merit List.
• Log in using your registration number and password.
• Review the assigned school and stream.
• Download the intimation letter and print it for your records.

Students who have been allocated a seat must report to their respective schools between July 9 and July 15 with the necessary documents for verification. Admission will be confirmed only after the institutions validate the certificates and receive the required admission fee by the deadline.

For candidates who did not secure a seat in the first round or those seeking admission in a preferred institution, participation in the upcoming counselling rounds is encouraged. The second merit list will be released on July 23, based on the number of seats that remain vacant following the conclusion of the first admission round.
