Sri Lanka Maintains Steady Treasury Bill Yields with Rs100 Billion in Sales

FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – In the latest auction held on Wednesday, yields on Sri Lanka’s Treasury bills remained largely stable, according to data from the Public Debt Management Office. The government successfully sold the entire 100 billion rupees in bills that were up for grabs.

The yield on the 3-month Treasury bill experienced a slight decline, decreasing by 2 basis points to reach 10.21 percent. Of the 50 billion rupees offered, 58.47 billion rupees were successfully sold.

Meanwhile, the 6-month Treasury bill maintained its yield at 10.30 percent, with all of the 35 billion rupees offered being sold without any change.

Similarly, the 12-month Treasury bill held steady at a yield of 10.20 percent. From the 15 billion rupees offered, 6.53 billion rupees were sold.

All three types of bills are currently available for purchase.
