The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has introduced a Free Sale Letter service aimed at pharmaceutical manufacturers and exporters in Sri Lanka, designed to assist them in meeting international market compliance standards.
This initiative enhances the offerings of the Chamber’s Commercial Documents Registration Division (CDRD), which is focused on providing a range of trade documentation solutions.
The Chamber emphasized that by delivering dependable documentation assistance and adjusting its services to align with evolving trade requirements, the Division plays a crucial role in helping Sri Lankan enterprises navigate export regulations and tap into global markets.
In addition to the Free Sale Letter service, the CDRD also issues Certificates of Origin and certifies essential commercial documents needed by international clients, customs officials, and regulatory agencies.
The Division provides certification and verification services to a variety of stakeholders, including exporters, manufacturers, logistics providers, and freight forwarders, aiding them in fulfilling documentation obligations for international trade.
Its services include the certification of various export-related documents such as Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Price Lists, Health Certificates, Phytosanitary Certificates, Certificates of Analysis, Bills of Lading, Survey Reports, and Beneficiary Certificates.
Moreover, the division issues Free Sale Letters and Surveyor Appointment Letters, while also aiding exporters through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Electronic Document Attestation System (e-DAS).
