On Wednesday, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan convened a bilateral discussion with Mawlawi Ataullah Omari, the agriculture minister of the Taliban-led government of Afghanistan, to evaluate the agricultural collaboration between the two countries.

The meeting took place at the Pusa Campus and focused on the potential extension of the current Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and the Afghan National Agricultural Science and Technology University, with plans to renew it beyond the year 2026.
