Sri Lanka Raises Additional Rs10bn Through Treasury Bill Sales Following Auction

FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – Sri Lanka has successfully auctioned treasury bills worth 10 billion rupees at average interest rates of 10.21% and 10.30%, according to the public debt management office. This sale has contributed to a cumulative total of 110 billion rupees in treasury bills sold during the week.

The overall subscription for these bills reached 46.18 billion rupees. Specifically, the debt office issued a three-month bill with an interest rate of 10.21%, a six-month bill at 10.30%, and a twelve-month bill also at 10.21%.

On Wednesday, July 8, the debt office had previously raised 100 billion rupees through the sale of three-, six-, and twelve-month treasury bills. The six- and twelve-month bills were subsequently made available for additional sales.
