A 45-year-old individual is now the subject of an arrest warrant related to a violent attack that occurred in Western Sydney on Saturday.

On Sunday evening, New South Wales Police released a photograph of Corum Ash.

Mr. Ash is sought under an “outstanding warrant for the charge of attempted murder.”

According to police, Ash is described as Caucasian, standing between 170 and 175 centimeters tall, with a medium build, short black hair, black eyes, and he is currently unshaven.

The authorities noted that he utilizes public transportation and frequents the Carlingford and Fairfield areas, along with nearby locations.

The public has been advised to avoid approaching Mr. Ash and to instead contact law enforcement.

In a related incident, a 74-year-old man was discovered unconscious with a head injury early yesterday morning near the intersection of Orchardleigh Street and Junction Road in Yennora.

He is in critical condition following surgery at Westmead Hospital, where his family is present.

The victim, a local father of three, had departed his home approximately 30 minutes prior to the incident, engaging in his routine early morning walk.

A bystander contacted emergency services, prompting a swift response from both police and ambulance crews.

The man received initial medical attention from paramedics on-site before being transported to the hospital.

Detective Acting Inspector Brenton Sommerville indicated that the police are investigating the occurrence as a reported assault.

“This is a vulnerable 74-year-old male who has been subjected to what seems to be a cowardly and brutal attack,” he stated.
