A three-day annual meeting of the Akhil Bharatiya Prant Pracharak Baithak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) concluded in Karnataka on Sunday. The organization expressed optimism that the investigation into the suspected misappropriation of donations at the Ayodhya Ram temple will soon take a significant turn.
An official statement from the RSS conveyed that participants at the conference voiced their distress regarding the irregularities in the counting of donations at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir. They expressed confidence that the ongoing Special Investigation Team (SIT) and police actions, which were initiated following a request from the Teerth Kshetra Nyas, would lead to a crucial resolution. The RSS emphasized the expectation that the Teerth Kshetra Nyas would prevent any future incidents that could undermine the faith and devotion of Ram Bhakts towards the Ram Mandir.
The irregularities in question pertain to the alleged embezzlement of substantial sums from the donations made to the temple in Uttar Pradesh. These issues, which surfaced in June, involve financial misconduct related to the temple that was inaugurated in 2024.
Attending the Baithak were RSS Sarasanghachalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale, along with 226 delegates from various regions across the country, gathered in Belagavi.
The meeting covered a range of topics relevant to current societal issues, particularly focusing on the census and the challenges linked to population imbalance. Additionally, the RSS raised concerns about the increasing negative impacts of drug use and called for enhanced de-addiction initiatives.
Furthermore, the RSS reported that throughout the year, it trained 18,842 swayamsevaks at 83 Sangh Shiksha and 12 Karyakarta Vikas Vargs conducted nationwide. This training encompassed various subjects, including daily shakha, organizational procedures, village development, family awareness, disaster management, and environmental issues.
