FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – Sri Lanka has successfully issued bonds totaling 15 billion rupees through a tap offer, with average yields determined in a recent auction. This brings the cumulative bond sales for the week to 165 billion rupees, as reported by the Public Debt Management Office.
The offering had a target of 150 billion rupees. Among the bonds sold, the one maturing on October 15, 2030 (LKB00730J158) was issued at a weighted average yield of 11.57 percent. Additionally, a bond set to mature on October 15, 2034 (LKB00934J156) was sold at a yield of 12.04 percent, while another bond maturing on July 1, 2037 (LKB01237G019) was issued at a yield of 12.58 percent.
The total demand from the market reached 15.155 billion rupees. On Monday, the government successfully sold bonds maturing in 2030, 2034, and 2037, amounting to 150 billion rupees.
