In an exciting development for rugby fans, Rugby Australia has announced the inclusion of both men’s and women’s sevens matches to an already thrilling lineup featuring the Wallabies and Wallaroos in Sydney.
The event is scheduled for October 18 at Stadium Australia, where the Wallabies will compete against the All Blacks, while the Wallaroos will face Scotland for the first time in their WXV Global Series. This unprecedented arrangement marks a historic moment as Australia’s sevens teams will share the spotlight, creating a unique quadruple-header for the Bledisloe Cup in Sydney.
Previously, the match against the All Blacks on October 17 had already confirmed the Wallaroos’ match as part of the day’s festivities. The schedule for the Bledisloe Cup is as follows:
- Wallaroos vs. Scotland at 12:00 PM
- Australian men’s sevens vs. Fiji at 2:05 PM
- Australian women’s sevens vs. New Zealand at 2:25 PM
- Wallabies vs. New Zealand at 3:45 PM
With the addition of these fixtures, fans can look forward to watching Australia’s world champion women’s sevens team take on their New Zealand counterparts, while the men’s team will compete against the two-time Olympic champions, Fiji.
