New Media Solutions (Pvt) Ltd has garnered notable recognition at the Dragons of Sri Lanka 2026, achieving a Gold Award in the Marketing Discipline for its Health Score campaign with Softlogic Life Insurance PLC. Additionally, the company secured two Silver Awards in the realms of Public Relations and Content Creation for the Break the Barriers campaign in collaboration with Unilever Sri Lanka and Closeup.

The Health Score initiative aimed to enhance public awareness regarding health and wellbeing, adopting a consumer-centric approach to promote healthier lifestyles. Renowned cricket icon Jonty Rhodes played a pivotal role in the campaign, utilizing his strong connection to fitness and active living to broaden its reach. By integrating strategic communication with consumer engagement, the campaign successfully raised awareness about health issues, leading to its Gold award at the Dragons of Sri Lanka 2026.

In partnership with Unilever Sri Lanka and Closeup, New Media Solutions spearheaded the public relations and content creation efforts for the Break the Barriers campaign, which encouraged Sri Lankans to share their personal stories of overcoming obstacles in the name of love. The campaign, conducted in Sinhala, Tamil, and English, received over 1,000 entries detailing experiences related to distance, language, familial expectations, cultural differences, disabilities, and fears. From these submissions, 100 stories were chosen for inclusion in Sri Lanka’s inaugural crowdsourced love story book, with certain narratives also produced in Braille.

The campaign engaged various reading and writing communities, social media influencers, podcasts, short video formats, youth outreach, and contributions from established authors to drive participation. New Media Solutions also oversaw the public relations efforts surrounding the book’s launch at Waters Edge, Battaramulla, achieving more than 100 earned media placements across online, print, radio, and television platforms in all three languages. This comprehensive effort led to the campaign receiving Silver Awards in both the Public Relations and Content Creation categories.

Nilupa Liyanage, the Managing Director, expressed, “Winning one Gold and two Silver Awards across two client campaigns highlights the extensive work accomplished by our teams. We extend our gratitude to Softlogic Life Insurance PLC, Unilever Sri Lanka, and Closeup for their trust and collaboration in realizing these campaigns.”

Kavindu Wijesekara, Head of Digital and Operations, remarked, “Our content strategy was centered on participation. We collaborated with diverse communities, creators, and formats to ensure that each audience had a relevant means of engaging with the campaign. Every content piece played a vital role in motivating contributions.”

Banura Abeywickrema, Manager – Client Servicing, added, “The success of both campaigns stemmed from our close partnerships with clients, collaborators, and our internal teams. We are thankful to all our clients for their ongoing trust and to everyone who was involved in transforming these campaigns from strategic concepts to execution, with each team member playing a crucial role in delivering the final product.”

The Dragons of Sri Lanka is part of the broader Dragons of Asia Marketing Communications Awards, which has celebrated agencies and brand owners across Asia since the year 2000. The Sri Lankan segment was launched in 2024, with entries assessed by a panel of international judges based on strategy, concept, execution, and outcomes.

For New Media Solutions, this recognition underlines its commitment to producing work that transcends mere communication, fostering meaningful connections between brands and individuals while achieving measurable results.
