A hiker has gone missing in Mount Remarkable National Park located in South Australia.

The woman did not return from her hiking trip yesterday, which led to an extensive search operation initiated by PolAir and local rescue teams late last night.

This morning, authorities are launching a fresh search effort that will include police units, Mounted Operations, and volunteers from the State Emergency Service (SES).

Mount Remarkable National Park, a well-known destination for hikers, is situated approximately 250 to 290 kilometers north of Adelaide.
