On Tuesday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that Campa, SBI Life, and ChatGPT will serve as associate partners for the next two home cricket seasons. The BCCI revealed that the collective value of these partnerships exceeds Rs 130 crore, marking a 44% increase compared to the previous agreement.

The new partnership is set to commence with India’s upcoming home series against the West Indies, scheduled to start on September 27, and will continue until March 2028.

The board emphasized that the partnerships reflect the increasing commercial value and attractiveness of India’s home cricket season. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia remarked that Campa, SBI Life, and ChatGPT each represent distinct and exciting sectors, illustrating the varied opportunities available during the home season.

Saikia expressed enthusiasm about the new collaborations, stating, “We are delighted to welcome them as Associate Partners and anticipate working together to develop innovative ways to engage fans and enhance their experience of Indian cricket.”

This announcement follows a recent review meeting held by the board, where it committed to a more strategically planned Future Tour Programme for the upcoming cycle. Proposed improvements include scheduling that allows players ample rest between series and sufficient time to adapt to different playing conditions, particularly in SENA (South Africa, England, New Zealand, Australia) nations, and incorporating warm-up matches before series.

During the review meeting at the board’s Mumbai headquarters, discussions focused on the frequent injury occurrences among players, which may be attributed to a congested schedule. India is slated to participate in seven Test matches, 14 One Day Internationals, and 16 T20 Internationals, in addition to the Asian Games, leading up to the next Indian Premier League in late March. The board assured team management and captains that they would improve planning to ensure adequate rest for players.
