During the inauguration of the BJP’s district headquarters named ‘Namo Kamalam’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that the party’s motto, “Aaram Haram hai” (resting is prohibited), is a principle rather than merely a slogan. He referenced the phrase originally articulated by India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru.
Modi acknowledged the unwavering support of voters for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the years, stating, “For generations, you have consistently chosen the BJP without hesitation. Even the most junior party member remains unaffected by the allure of power. Despite our considerable achievements, it is essential for every party worker to remain vigilant and dedicated, rather than seeking rest.”
He urged party members to transform the new office into a hub for addressing the concerns of the community, saying, “Enhance your outreach and turn this into a place that brings those who are distant closer together.”
The Prime Minister commended the voters of Navsari for setting a national record in the 2024 elections by electing Union Minister C R Patil, who secured victory by a margin exceeding 7.73 lakh votes.
Regarding various cleanliness initiatives in Vadodara and Navsari prior to his visit, Modi noted, “While government efforts contribute to these cleanliness drives, when the community actively participates, it becomes a celebratory event.” He called for individuals to integrate cleanliness into their daily lives, advocating for ongoing participation in public service beyond mere campaigns.
He reiterated that power, leadership, and organizational structures should solely serve the greater good and facilitate community welfare.
In his remarks, Patil shared details about the ‘Welcome with Cleanliness’ initiative, which lasted six days and involved the use of approximately 50 JCBs and more than 100 trucks and tractors across the Navsari Municipal Corporation, Gandevi, and Billimora Nagarpalika. He highlighted that about 400 villages were cleaned, effectively removing years of accumulated waste. Notably, Navsari became a municipal corporation last year.
The newly constructed office, situated along National Highway 48, spans 40,000 square feet and was completed in two and a half years. It aims to serve as a center for political activities while showcasing modern technology and sustainable energy solutions. The facility includes solar panels, a rainwater harvesting system, high-speed internet connectivity, a spacious auditorium, a conference room, dedicated offices for party officials, and a well-equipped library containing over 1,000 physical books and 1.4 million e-books, along with a media room and call center.
