On Tuesday, Telangana Minister Vakiti Srihari administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to the personal secretary of senior IAS officer Naveen Mittal after the individual collapsed unexpectedly on the grounds of the Assembly in Hyderabad. The secretary, Raju, was reportedly struck by the incident while present at the Assembly, prompting immediate assistance from bystanders. Minister Srihari acted swiftly to perform CPR in an effort to revive him.

Emergency medical personnel stationed at the Assembly were summoned to provide urgent care, and Raju was subsequently transported to a hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

The cause of his sudden collapse remains unclear, and updates regarding his condition are pending as medical staff continue to assess him at the hospital.

The Telangana Assembly faced disruptions for the second day in a row due to contentious remarks made by BRS Member of Legislative Council Thatha Madhusudan, targeting Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, a Dalit leader, alongside allegations of police misconduct involving BRS women MLAs, as reported by PTI.

BRS MLA T Harish Rao brought attention to the alleged improper conduct by police towards female legislators during a protest outside the Assembly on Monday. Legislative Affairs Minister D Sridhar Babu stated that the government had requested a report on the matter and would take appropriate action if warranted.

The Speaker expressed that the remarks in question involved his mother, affirming his right to be upset. The BRS party indicated that Madhusudan had expressed remorse and retracted his statements.

In a related development, Madhusudan and another BRS MLC, N Naveen Kumar Reddy, were arrested in connection with a case filed under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
