Dennis Haskins, famed for his portrayal of Principal Richard Belding on the popular 1990s television series “Saved By The Bell,” has passed away at the age of 75, as confirmed by his agent.

Jay Schachter, his representative, expressed his sorrow over the loss, stating, “This is an incredibly sad moment. Mr. Belding was adored by many, and those of us who had the privilege of knowing Dennis grew to love him even more. He was a wonderful individual who had an immense passion for his fans, always making time for them regardless of the circumstances.”

The specific cause of Haskins’ passing has not been disclosed.

Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Haskins pursued his education at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, as noted in the university’s official biography.

Throughout his career, Haskins made notable appearances in various television shows, including “The Twilight Zone” and “Magnum, P.I.,” before achieving fame as Mr. Belding on “Saved By The Bell,” where he became well-known for his iconic line, “Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, what is going on here?”

In addition to his role on “Saved By The Bell,” Haskins also featured in other series and films, such as “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”

Schachter shared his deep sense of loss, stating, “For over 20 years, he was not just my client but a dear friend, and I will profoundly miss him. My heart is broken.”
