With only three days remaining until the global premiere of Abhishek Pathak’s eagerly awaited film, Drishyam 3 (officially titled Drishyam: The Conclusion), advance ticket sales are booming. Current trends suggest that this installment, featuring Ajay Devgn, is poised to outperform its predecessor, Drishyam 2 (2022), on its opening day.

As of 2 PM on Tuesday, September 29, the advance bookings for Drishyam 3 have amassed a total of Rs 8.97 crore on its first day, with 2.24 lakh tickets sold across 7,505 screenings, as reported by industry analyst Sacnilk. Over the first three days of ticket sales, the film has already generated Rs 17.35 crore (Rs 11.12 crore excluding blocked seats). Analysts predict that the film is likely to achieve an opening day gross of around Rs 40 crore in India.

On Day 2, Drishyam 3 recorded an advance gross of Rs 4.52 crore from 1.20 lakh ticket sales over 6,848 shows, while on Day 3, the earnings dropped slightly to Rs 3.86 crore with 1.06 lakh tickets sold across 6,720 screenings. So far, the film has earned Rs 2.93 crore in Maharashtra on Day 1, and Delhi has contributed Rs 2.19 crore to the total revenue.

For context, Drishyam 2 had a net collection of Rs 15.38 crore in India on its release day, November 18, 2022, while its overall domestic gross was Rs 18.15 crore. In its opening weekend, the film amassed a total of Rs 64.14 crore.

Notably, the Hindi version of Drishyam 3 is anticipated to have a stronger debut than its Malayalam original, which was directed by Jeethu Joseph and starred Mohanlal. The Malayalam version garnered a net collection of Rs 15.85 crore on its release day, May 21, and achieved a total of Rs 54.44 crore over its opening weekend. Currently, it ranks as the fifth highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time, having earned Rs 239.83 crore worldwide during its theatrical run.

In contrast to the Malayalam version, Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3 will serve as the concluding chapter of the Hindi franchise.

The film also features an ensemble cast, including Tabu, Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, and Kamlesh Sawant in pivotal roles. The cinematography is handled by Sudhir Kumar Chaudhary, with editing by Sandeep Francis, and the score composed by Ravi Basrur, Rochak Kohli, and Karma. The film is set to release in theaters on Friday, October 2.
