Renowned actor Amitabh Bachchan frequently engages with participants on his quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati. He inquires about their personal stories, shares experiences from his own life, and listens attentively to their narratives. In the most recent installment of KBC 18, a lighthearted exchange unfolded between Bachchan and a contestant. After the contestant humorously admitted to dozing off during one of his films, the actor provided a witty retort.

In the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 18, contestant Almas Khan from Jaipur reminisced about a childhood experience. A self-proclaimed movie enthusiast, she recounted watching Amitabh Bachchan’s 1997 film Mrityudaata at the famed Raj Mandir cinema. Almas disclosed that she attended the screening with her cousins when she was younger. However, she humorously informed the legendary actor that the comfort of Raj Mandir led her to fall asleep during his movie.

“I didn’t grasp the film at all. The place was so beautiful and air-conditioned that I ended up falling asleep. I swear, when I opened my eyes, the movie was over, and your song was playing,” she told Bachchan.

Furthermore, Almas mentioned that Mrityudaata remains the first film of his she recalls watching in a theater. Although initially taken aback, the actor quickly responded with humor. “Hold on, how did you manage to watch it while asleep? The film finished, so what did you actually see?” he jested.

Almas Khan occupied the hot seat during the show’s India Challenger Week, featured in the episode aired on September 30. A single mother of two from Jaipur, she operates a tiffin service. After incorrectly answering the question worth Rs 12.5 lakh, she concluded her KBC 18 journey with a total of Rs 5 lakh.

Mrityudaata, an action drama with Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role, was directed by Mehul Kumar and marked the actor’s return to cinema after a five-year hiatus. The film also starred Dimple Kapadia, Karisma Kapoor, Arbaaz Ali Khan, and Paresh Rawal in significant roles. Unfortunately, Mrityudaata received predominantly negative reviews and struggled at the box office.

Kaun Banega Crorepati 18 made its debut on August 10 at 9 PM on Sony Entertainment Television and SonyLIV, with episodes airing from Monday to Friday.
