The release date for the film “Udta Teer,” starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan, has been postponed. Instead of its original date of October 9, the movie is now set to premiere in theaters on October 23. This adjustment comes as “Drishyam 3” has successfully surpassed the Rs 60 crore milestone on its opening day.
A press release from the production team announced the new date, stating, “Udta Teer has been creating positive anticipation through its trailer and promotional activities. Given the film’s favorable tracking, the decision to shift the release to October 23 is a prudent one, providing a more advantageous release window and enhancing its visibility in a competitive market.”
The statement further emphasized, “This strategic decision by the filmmakers allows for a more robust theatrical presence, as the trailer and marketing efforts have generated considerable excitement.”
Ayushmann Khurrana shared his thoughts on “Udta Teer,” expressing that the film signifies his return to original and unconventional storytelling, which he is known for.
The actor elaborated on his character, revealing that he portrays a Pakistani spy who experiences memory loss, leading to a blend of comedy and patriotism.
The film is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Guneet Monga Kapoor, and Achin Jain, representing another collaboration between Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment.
