The University of Delhi is set to host the second installment of its placement initiative, AVASAR 2026, on October 7. The event is anticipated to attract over 85 companies, with more than 4,000 students already signed up to attend.

This placement drive, organized by the Central Placement Cell (CPC) under the purview of the Dean of Students’ Welfare (DSW), will take place at the Multipurpose Hall located at Gate No. 2, G C Narang Marg, North Campus, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Formerly referred to as the “Job Mela,” AVASAR is designed to bridge the gap between students and potential employers, providing access to a variety of employment and internship opportunities across different industries, as stated by the university.

The event will be accessible to all students enrolled at Delhi University.

Participating organizations include notable names such as SPRIX Japan, Teach for India, Kotak Life, PPG Foundation, Influngio, Surasa, Dear Sir E-Learning, Cambridge School, Bharti Bhawan, Unthinkable Solutions, Muthoot Finance, Verdicto, Connect Jobs, LSSSDC, Intellexia Tech, and Hazelnut Cyborg Infra Solutions, among others.

The university has indicated that the highest annual salary package available exceeds Rs 10 lakh, while the maximum stipend for internships can reach up to Rs 60,000 per month.

This initiative reflects the CPC’s commitment to enhancing collaboration between the university and industry, thereby broadening the avenues for students to find jobs and internships.

Additionally, the placement drive will provide students with the opportunity to engage with various organizations and explore career paths that align with their academic backgrounds and skill sets, according to university officials.
