The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, along with actor Vijay’s son, Jason Sanjay, is preparing to make his directorial debut with the film titled Sigma. As the release date approaches on October 2, Jyotika, who starred alongside Vijay in Kushi, and her husband Suriya have both taken to social media to convey their good wishes to Sanjay.
Jyotika posted a heartfelt message on her Instagram, featuring a photo of Jason alongside the Sigma poster. She expressed her excitement about the promotional activities, stating, “Dear @jason.sanjay official and team, my warmest wishes for SIGMA. Watching your promotions has brought me great joy. It’s wonderful to see the young man you have become—mature, composed, genuine, and a wonderful son to your parents. You truly deserve all the success that comes your way. Wishing you and your team a fantastic release. May God bless you always.”
Suriya Sivakumar also shared his encouragement on the platform X, remarking, “I can’t believe little Sanjay is a director now! Tomorrow is a significant day. Best of luck to @official_jsj. Sending heartfelt wishes to @sundeepkishan, @LycaProductions, and the entire cast and crew of #Sigma.”
As congratulations continue to flood in for his inaugural project, Jason Sanjay recently discussed his expectations regarding his father Vijay’s response after viewing Sigma. In an interview with Pearle Maaney, Sanjay noted, “He is usually quite reserved. He takes his time to process a film. However, I believe he will feel proud, especially since this is my first movie.”
In another conversation with Galatta Plus, the budding director shared that he had not disclosed the film’s script to either his father or his grandfather, the esteemed filmmaker SA Chandrasekhar. “I provided the outline to my family but kept the details under wraps so they can experience the film with fresh eyes. That is my intention,” he explained.
Sanjay added, “I believe that within the first five minutes, the audience will engage with the film itself. Regardless of the feedback I receive, whether it’s positive or negative, I trust that my work will convey who I am. After Sigma’s release, I plan to focus on establishing my identity in the industry, leveraging the success of this film as a foundation for my future career.”
Directed by Jason Sanjay, Sigma features a talented cast including Sundeep Kishan, Faria Abdullah, Raju Sundaram, Sampath Raj, Shiv Panditt, Anbu Thasan, and Yog Japee. The film, a heist comedy drama, is being produced by Lyca Productions.
