The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has announced a 5 percent increase in the fees for the Karnataka SSLC examination for the year 2027. This adjustment raises the fee for first-time candidates sitting for the Class 10 board exam from Rs 710 to Rs 746. The updated fee structure will be applicable to various categories of candidates, including regular, private, and repeaters.
This fee update also affects the registration costs for private candidates. According to a recent circular from KSEAB, the application and registration fee for new private candidates has been raised from Rs 248 to Rs 260. Additionally, the renewal fee for private candidates who have previously registered and paid their examination fees has increased from Rs 72 to Rs 76.
For repeat candidates, the fee adjustment varies based on the number of subjects they are registering for. The fee for a single subject has risen from Rs 448 to Rs 470. Candidates choosing to take two subjects will now pay Rs 587, up from the previous Rs 559. For those enrolling for three or more subjects, the fee has increased from Rs 752 to Rs 790.
As of now, KSEAB has not released the timetable for the Karnataka SSLC 2027 examinations. However, based on prior years, it is anticipated that the board exams will take place around March and April, with additional examination attempts typically scheduled later in the year. Students can expect the final timetable to be published on KSEAB’s official website, kseab.karnataka.gov.in, where they will also have the opportunity to download the exam dates once they are made available.
