In the face of global conflicts, ideological disputes, and various challenges, the world is turning to India as a source of solutions grounded in its rich heritage of knowledge, stated RSS leader Mohan Bhagwat on Friday.
Speaking at the 14th conference of the All India Vihar Seva Group held in Borivali, Bhagwat emphasized that India’s longstanding traditions could provide valuable insights into the pressing issues facing humanity today.
“The answers to the world’s challenges can be found within the ancient and extensive heritage of Bharat,” he remarked.
Bhagwat highlighted the intrinsic connection between the concepts of dharma and the nation. “Dharma serves as the foundation of the nation. It is through dharma that the nation thrives. The two are mutually reliant; one cannot exist without the other,” he noted.
He also pointed out that historically, India has shared its wisdom with other cultures without resorting to military force or coercive religious conversions, which he described as a hallmark of the Bharatiya tradition of knowledge.
Bhagwat referenced various ancient texts, including the Vedas, Upanishads, Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Bhagavad Gita, along with Jain Agamas, the Tripitaka, and the Guru Granth Sahib, indicating that these works contain teachings that can promote human welfare and social cohesion.
Furthermore, he spoke about the teachings of saints, which emphasize service and social unity, asserting that these values are pertinent to addressing the contemporary challenges faced by society.
Bhagwat expressed that it is essential to preserve and transmit these traditions to future generations, framing it as a duty not only to one’s faith but also to the broader community.
In the evening, during an event in Dadar, Bhagwat introduced the Dnyanrang: Dnyaneshwari mobile application, a project developed by Amey Hete of Valuable Group.
