Qazi Touqeer has become a prominent figure in the conversations surrounding Bigg Boss Season 20, gaining significant attention as a contestant. In recent weeks, host Salman Khan has commended his performance. However, during the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Salman confronted Qazi regarding a comment he made to fellow contestant Kanika Mann the previous week.
Last week, Kanika remarked that Qazi’s attire gave off “very professor” vibes. In response, Qazi changed his outfit and humorously stated that he had now become her student, with Kanika as his teacher. When she inquired about the subject he would like to study, Qazi playfully suggested biology and added, “Ma’am, can we have a lollipop together?”
This comment did not sit well with Kanika, who expressed her discomfort to Qazi, indicating that she found his remark inappropriate. Qazi defended his intentions, asserting that he did not mean to make an offensive comment.
As tensions escalated, Kanika reiterated that Qazi’s words made her uneasy. Fellow contestants, including Mahhi and Arishfa, encouraged Qazi to apologize, but he declined. His frustration grew when his friends pointed out his mistake.
In the latest episode, Salman Khan addressed Qazi’s comment directly, stating, “Qazi, your remark didn’t resonate well with Kanika. You played well in the first three weeks and kept the audience entertained. However, this week, while you did entertain, you were mistaken in this instance. Regardless of your intentions, if someone felt uncomfortable, you should have stepped back. Instead, you persisted, which was not the right approach. If your comment about the lollipop was innocent, you should have simply apologized and moved on.”
Kanika interjected, suggesting that Qazi had developed an inflated sense of self-importance due to the praise he received over the past weeks. Salman then asked Kanika if Qazi had apologized, to which Qazi claimed he had done so while joking. Salman responded, “We didn’t witness you apologize, Qazi. You mentioned you’d rather take a bullet than say sorry. That’s where you erred. Apologies should come from a genuine place of remorse, not in jest.”
Salman also took the opportunity to address other contestants, urging them to be authentic rather than overly cautious due to the perception that he favored Qazi. He remarked, “It seems like you are all modifying your personalities out of fear of my feedback. Don’t worry; I’m here to provide insights. If you aren’t showcasing your true selves, what purpose do I serve here?”
He further dispelled notions of favoritism towards Qazi, stating, “There’s an impression that if you confront Qazi, I will reprimand you. Is Qazi family? Have I borrowed money from him? I’ve interacted with all of you. While Qazi has been entertaining, I will also address his mistakes.”
Salman concluded by humorously commenting on the production team, suggesting that even a feigned reprimand could be turned into viral promotional content for the show.
