In a significant development for students residing in the Gulf region, the Kerala Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) has announced a unique opportunity for candidates taking the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) 2026 entrance examination to modify their selected exam centres. This decision follows the ongoing disturbances in the Middle East, which have hindered travel plans for many applicants, particularly those who initially chose the UAE (Sharjah) as their examination venue.
The CEE has issued a statement recognizing the challenges faced by candidates in reaching their designated centres amid the current unrest. To address this issue, the authorities have introduced a special facility for changing exam centres, ensuring that all eligible students can participate in the examination despite unforeseen circumstances.
As a consequence of this adjustment to the KEAM process, the release date for the KEAM 2026 admit card has been postponed. Originally scheduled for April 1, the hall ticket will now be available on April 8. Candidates are encouraged to download their admit cards from the official CEE website once they are made accessible.
The CEE has specified the groups of candidates eligible for this centre change option. Students who initially selected the UAE (Sharjah) centre and are currently in Kerala can switch to an examination centre within the state. Conversely, those who opted for a centre in Kerala but are now in the Gulf region may select a centre in that area. Furthermore, candidates assigned to the UAE centre may also choose Kuwait or Bahrain as an alternative examination location.
The authority has emphasized that the deadline for submitting requests to change exam centres is definitive and will not be extended under any circumstances. Students are strongly advised to complete this process within the stipulated timeframe to prevent any issues.
To modify their exam centre, candidates should visit the official CEE website at cee.kerala.gov.in, navigate to the KEAM 2026 application link, and log in using their application number and password. After selecting the “Change Centre” option, they can choose their desired new centre and submit their request.
Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates regarding the admit card and any other relevant notifications pertaining to the examination.
