David entered the match in the 15th over after the dismissal of Devdutt Padikkal. In an impressive display, he ended his innings with an incredible tally of 70 runs from just 25 balls, which included three fours and eight sixes. His remarkable performance, along with captain Rajat Patidar’s unbeaten 48 runs off 19 balls and Padikkal’s 50 runs from 29 balls, enabled RCB to post an impressive score of 250 runs for the loss of just three wickets. Although Sarfaraz Khan contributed 50 runs off 25 balls for CSK, the five-time champions struggled to mount a serious challenge against the daunting target set by RCB. This victory marked RCB’s second consecutive win of the season, having previously chased down a target of 202 runs to defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets in their opening match.

On the other hand, CSK is facing significant challenges, suffering their third consecutive defeat of the season in this match. Alarmingly, the team has appeared to be outmatched in each of their games thus far, including their earlier matches against RCB and the others.
