Ranveer Singh’s film, Dhurandhar, has been generating buzz due to its exceptional narrative and stellar performances from the cast. The film’s soundtrack has also gained immense popularity, trending across social media platforms. Recently, director Aditya Dhar took to social media to express his gratitude towards music composer Shashwat Sachdev for his dedication to the film’s music.
On his Instagram account, Dhar shared a heartfelt tribute to Sachdev, commending his talent and their personal bond. He disclosed that the young composer created nine tracks for Dhurandhar Part 1 in just nine days, along with the background score completed in six days. For the sequel, Dhurandhar 2, Sachdev composed 14 songs in 11 days and finished the background music in three days.
Dhar wrote, “Cheers to Shashwat Sachdev. Some partnerships extend beyond professional boundaries and become profoundly personal. Sha has been that for me. He is not only the music composer for Dhurandhar but someone I consider a younger brother. We’ve experienced chaos, silence, shared ideas, and intense creative moments together. What he achieved for this film still feels surreal when I articulate it. Nine songs in nine days for Dhurandhar Part 1, with the entire background music done in six days. And then for Part 2, 14 songs in 11 days, with the BGM completed in just three.” He accompanied his message with several behind-the-scenes photos.
In his post, Dhar elaborated, “To accomplish that volume and speed, while infusing such emotional depth and outstanding quality, is astonishing. Even more remarkable is that both soundtracks, released within three months, soared to the top of global music charts, with almost every track receiving acclaim—an extraordinary feat for any film worldwide.”
He further detailed that his home had transformed into a vibrant music studio for several days, where everyone was immersed in long working hours. “For about 15 days, my house ceased to be a home; it became a lively studio. Each room buzzed with activity—music in the living room, recordings in the bedrooms, and writing on the balconies. Singers and musicians were constantly coming and going, with days and nights merging into one another. We worked in stretches of 21 to 22 hours, losing track of time in our shared frenzy to perfect the project. Sha was right in the middle of it all,” he noted.
Dhar praised Sachdev’s ability to manage everything, stating, “Creating, composing, guiding, reacting, and evolving all at once. There were days when he was unwell, surviving on little to no sleep, facing health challenges, yet he remained fully committed, never compromising or slowing down. That level of resilience is rare.”
He also took a moment to recognize lyricist Irshad Kamil, mentioning in the comments, “With the legendary Irshad Kamil Sir by our side and a dedicated team that poured their hearts into this project, we elevated it to something truly special. Everyone performed at the highest level. Throughout the whirlwind, Magic, Sha’s partner, was the stabilizing force, maintaining the energy when things threatened to unravel. What makes Sha exceptional is not only his talent but his relentless drive. His instinct to seek authenticity in every note is admirable. He does not pursue the easy path; he seeks truth in every sound. Such dedication stems from passion, a desire to create divine music. You can feel that love in every moment of Dhurandhar. I am always thankful and always rooting for you,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2, which stars Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, R Madhavan, and Danish Pandor, has already surpassed Rs 1600 crore in global box office earnings.
