NTA Embraces Social Media: Launches Instagram and Facebook Accounts for JEE, NEET, and CUET Exam Updates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced official accounts on Instagram and Facebook to deliver immediate updates to students regarding significant entrance examinations such as JEE Main, NEET, and CUET. This initiative is designed to enhance communication by providing quick access to notifications about admit cards, exam schedules, results, and other essential information. Students interested in updates related to undergraduate entrance exams can visit the IE Education page.

In a recent announcement made on the microblogging platform ‘X’, the NTA informed that students can now obtain “real-time updates, exam alerts, and everything” consolidated in one location by following its social media accounts, thus encouraging candidates to stay informed.

This initiative is part of the NTA’s broader strategy to bolster its digital presence and directly engage with candidates, many of whom use social media for their daily news, including updates on examination timelines. By leveraging popular platforms like Instagram and Facebook, the agency aims to ensure that critical information is disseminated promptly, minimizing the reliance on multiple sources.

The new social media accounts will provide notifications about application forms, city allotment slips, admit cards, answer keys, and results. This is expected to assist students in monitoring developments more effectively, particularly during busy examination periods when numerous updates are released in a short timeframe.

Founded in 2017, the NTA is tasked with administering several national-level entrance tests for higher education, including JEE Main, CUET for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, NEET for undergraduate studies, and more.

In the fiscal year 2023-24, the agency reported an estimated income from fees amounting to Rs 1,065.38 crore and total expenditures of Rs 1,020.35 crore.
