Dialog Axiata PLC, the leading connectivity provider in Sri Lanka, is making strides in the nation’s digital landscape with the launch of ‘GanuDenu QR’, a novel QR code payment system accessible through the MyDialog App. This innovative service allows users to quickly send and receive money via their Dialog Finance and eZ Cash accounts. By going beyond traditional merchant transactions, this pioneering solution supports Sri Lanka’s shift towards a cashless, digitally inclusive society.
As QR-based payment methods and fund transfers gain popularity in Sri Lanka, ‘GanuDenu QR’ offers enhanced convenience by enabling straightforward transactions between individuals through a simple QR code. Users can send or receive amounts up to LKR 5,000 without incurring any fees, making it ideal for various scenarios such as sharing costs, paying bills, and facilitating minor transactions among friends and family. The feature is designed to provide a secure, real-time experience, allowing users to engage in digital transactions without relying on cash. Furthermore, ‘GanuDenu QR’ is compatible with the LankaPay network, facilitating transactions across all accredited banks, non-bank financial entities, and fintech services endorsed by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
Timed perfectly for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year celebrations, ‘GanuDenu QR’ offers a contemporary digital alternative to traditional monetary exchanges during Avurudu, while also remaining relevant beyond this festive period. Additionally, users who utilize ‘GanuDenu QR’ through the MyDialog App will receive 2GB of complimentary data on their initial transaction.
