Despite being in its third week of release, the film “Dhurandhar 2,” featuring Ranveer Singh, continues to set box office records. However, the domestic earnings have experienced a decline this week. According to Sacnilk, the film’s gross revenue reached Rs 9.46 crore, while the net earnings totaled Rs 7.90 crore on Wednesday. This brings its cumulative gross domestic earnings to Rs 1,246.67 crore, with net earnings at Rs 1,041.27 crore.
On Wednesday, “Dhurandhar 2” recorded an occupancy rate of 13% across 13,093 screenings throughout the country. The film has ascended to become the 10th highest-grossing film globally in 2026, with worldwide earnings of Rs 1,653.67 crore (over $178 million). It trails behind Hollywood films such as “Scare Out,” which earned $196 million, and “GOAT,” which made $185.2 million, placing it in the 8th and 9th spots respectively among the top ten highest-grossing films of the year.
In the domestic market, “Dhurandhar 2” is striving to exceed the worldwide revenue of “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” which has amassed an impressive total of Rs 1,742.10 crore. Should “Dhurandhar 2” surpass this milestone, it will rank as the third highest-grossing Indian film of all time. Notably, the film has achieved these figures without a release in China, unlike “Pushpa 2,” which did see a release there.
In related news, Deepika Padukone, who faced backlash for not publicly celebrating her husband Ranveer Singh’s success with “Dhurandhar 2,” responded to critics. She clarified her support for him by stating, “I watched it way before any of you did. Now who is the joke on? 🤭”
Directed by Aditya Dhar, “Dhurandhar 2” features Ranveer Singh in the lead role, alongside a talented cast that includes R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, Danish Pandor, and Manav Gohil.
As reported by Sacnilk, the film’s gross collection on its third Wednesday was Rs 9.46 crore, with net earnings of Rs 7.90 crore. This marks the first instance where the film’s daily earnings have dipped below Rs 10 crore, representing its lowest single-day revenue to date.
