Dhurandhar 2 Global Box Office Update on Day 23: Ranveer Singh’s Film Reaches ₹1,671 Crore Worldwide, Yet Falls Below ₹7 Crore on Fourth Friday

Dhurandhar Part 2 Box Office Update: On its 23rd day in theaters, Aditya Dhar’s film has achieved remarkable success, becoming the fourth highest-grossing Indian movie ever and the first Hindi film to surpass the ₹1,000 crore net milestone. However, during its fourth week, the film is experiencing a decline in box office performance. On Thursday, the film earned ₹7.15 crore, which dipped further to ₹6.70 crore on Friday, as reported by trade analyst Sacnilk.

On the fourth Friday, Dhurandhar: The Revenge saw an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 16.63%. Morning screenings had an occupancy of 11.54%, while afternoon shows recorded 14.54%. Evening and night screenings saw higher attendance, with rates of 18.69% and 21.77%, respectively. In the Delhi-NCR area, 909 shows were held with a 12.5% occupancy, and in Mumbai, 608 shows had a 12.3% occupancy. Chennai reported the highest occupancy rate at 53.5%.

The film’s total domestic net earnings have reached ₹1,055.12 crore, and its global gross has exceeded ₹1,671.26 crore. Despite its impressive numbers, Dhurandhar 2 remains behind other top-grossing Indian films, trailing Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 (₹1,742.10 crore), Prabhas’ Baahubali 2 (₹1,788.60 crore), and Aamir Khan’s Dangal, which leads with ₹2,070.3 crore.

Aside from its box office challenges, Dhurandhar 2 is facing legal issues. The production company behind the 1989 film Tridev has filed a lawsuit against the filmmakers, claiming that the song “Tirchi Topi Wale” was incorporated into Dhurandhar 2’s track “Rang De Lal” without authorization. A hearing for the case is set for May 6. According to a report from PTI, the court has denied the filmmakers any temporary relief and instructed both parties to attend mediation at the Delhi High Court on April 22.

Dhurandhar 2 is directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios. The film stars Ranveer Singh alongside Sara Arjun, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, and Danish Pandor.

As Dhurandhar 2 continues its theatrical run, it aims to surpass Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule and become the third highest-grossing Indian film in history. Currently, with a worldwide total of ₹1,671.26 crore, it needs an additional ₹70.84 crore to overtake the Allu Arjun film, which has a lifetime global earning of ₹1,742.10 crore.

After being in theaters for just over three weeks, Dhurandhar 2 has demonstrated impressive earnings. On its 23rd day, the film earned ₹7.15 crore, bringing its domestic net total to ₹1,055.12 crore.
