During a speech to BJP members on the occasion of the party’s 47th anniversary, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel emphasized the importance of maintaining composure and patience in the face of rumors, particularly in light of the ongoing conflict in West Asia.
“Given the current global circumstances, it is crucial for BJP workers to respond thoughtfully. The situation we are experiencing is not likely to resolve quickly, and its repercussions are being felt worldwide, not just in India,” he stated at the BJP’s state headquarters, Shree Kamalam, located in Gandhinagar.
Patel reassured attendees that the situation in Gujarat remains stable, highlighting that the government is actively monitoring essential resources such as grains, electricity, water, petrol, diesel, and gas cylinders.
Accompanied by state BJP president Jagdish Vishvakarma, Patel expressed confidence in India’s leadership under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, asserting that they would ensure there are no increases in petrol and diesel prices.
“Now is the time for us to exercise patience… We must focus on maintaining our composure in our responses. There may be attempts to disturb us through the spread of misinformation. Opponents might engage in such tactics, but they need to realize that this is not an appropriate moment for political maneuvering,” the chief minister remarked.
He further affirmed that the government is closely monitoring the availability of vital resources, stating, “Currently, there are no issues regarding grains, electricity, water, petrol, diesel, or gas cylinders.”
Patel concluded by expressing his hope for global peace, stating, “We adhere to the principle of Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam. Thus, we pray for wisdom to prevail and for the situation to de-escalate.”
