Three fugitives flee after crashing vehicle into upscale Brisbane boutique.

Early on Monday morning, a Mercedes SUV crashed into the Hermès store located in Brisbane’s central business district, resulting in the theft of various merchandise.

Authorities report that three individuals loaded stolen items from the boutique into another vehicle before fleeing the area.

Law enforcement is appealing to the public for any CCTV or dashcam footage that may assist in the investigation.

Following the incident, officers responded to the Hermès store on Edward Street at 3:06 AM after receiving reports of the stolen Mercedes being driven into the storefront intentionally.

According to police, after the crash, the three suspects transferred items into a second vehicle and subsequently departed in both the second vehicle and a third one.

The Mercedes involved in the incident had been reported stolen from a residence in Coorparoo on April 1 and was left abandoned at the scene.

The total value of the stolen goods has yet to be determined.

Hermès, renowned for its luxury products including the coveted Birkin bags, features a range of high-end items priced in the tens of thousands of dollars.

The investigation into the theft is currently ongoing.
