Last year, RR had a similar explosive start against Kolkata Knight Riders when Jaiswal recorded the fastest fifty in IPL history, needing only 13 balls.
The six sixes hit by Rajasthan in the opening three overs set a new record for the most sixes in that timeframe in IPL history.
Jaiswal reached his fifty in just 23 balls, while Sooryavanshi, with his first six, made history in the IPL, surpassing Rishabh Pant and Ishan Kishan to become the leading six-hitter among teenagers in the tournament’s annals, accumulating 35 sixes in just 10 innings.
