In the last day, speculation emerged regarding a possible delay in the collaboration between Jr NTR and director Prashanth Neel. However, the production company has stepped in to dispel these claims. On Wednesday, Mythri Movie Makers took to their official X account to issue a statement clarifying the situation. The post asserted, “There is no veracity to the rumors regarding the film’s appearance or any schedule changes. The project is advancing as intended, with only a standard preparation pause. We urge everyone to refrain from believing or disseminating unverified information. Official updates will always originate from us. #NTRNeel.”
The message was clear and left no room for misinterpretation. Fans responded positively in the comments, expressing their relief and gratitude towards the production team for addressing the rumors directly.
The initial rumor, reported by a Telugu publication, suggested that NTR and Neel were unhappy with the visual direction of the new schedule and chose to halt production, emphasizing their desire for excellence even at the cost of a delay. This information has since been proven incorrect.
The film, provisionally titled “Dragon,” is penned and helmed by Prashanth Neel, and is a joint venture between Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts. Recently, the team wrapped up a shooting schedule in Jordan, followed by another week at a temple near Shamshabad last month. Furthermore, an extensive set is currently under construction on the outskirts of the city, with filming anticipated to commence there next month.
It is worth noting that the film has already experienced one postponement. Initially slated for a January 9 release, the date was later pushed back to June 25. Since that adjustment, the production team has remained silent regarding the film’s progress.
Additionally, there have been ongoing rumors concerning Tovino Thomas being cast as the antagonist opposite Jr NTR. Tovino has since confirmed that he will not be participating in the project due to scheduling issues, stating, “It is really hard to allocate dates, so I am not doing it,” during the promotion of his upcoming film, “Pallichattambi.”
