The High Court has rejected the attempt by former Liberal staff member Bruce Lehrmann to contest the decision regarding his unsuccessful defamation lawsuit.

The Federal Court had determined that it was more likely than not that Mr. Lehrmann sexually assaulted Brittany Higgins at Parliament House in 2019.

Last year, Mr. Lehrmann’s appeal against this ruling was unsuccessful.

This decision by the High Court represents his final opportunity to legally dispute the findings.
