Detectives from the Homicide Squad are currently looking into the circumstances surrounding a man’s death in the eastern part of Melbourne.

Emergency services, including police, paramedics, and firefighters, responded to reports of a disturbance at apartment tower 3, located at 851 Whitehorse Road in Box Hill, just before 2 a.m. today.

Authorities confirmed that a man, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was pronounced dead at the location.

According to information from the ABC, residents of the apartment building were initially evacuated but have since been permitted to return to their homes.

Video footage captured shortly after the incident revealed emergency personnel engaging with individuals on the street, as forensic teams arrived to investigate.

The police are urging anyone with any information related to the event to reach out to Crime Stoppers.
