Rishabh Pant, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), has received commendations from Carl Crowe, the team’s spin-bowling coach. As LSG prepares to compete against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Thursday, they are coming off a victory against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, which helped them recover from a previous loss to the Delhi Capitals. Crowe emphasized that Pant effectively empowers his bowlers in his leadership role.

“He certainly gives his bowlers a sense of empowerment. He actively seeks their opinions during team discussions and is genuinely interested in their strategies and insights. Personally, I have developed a strong appreciation for him,” Crowe remarked to the media ahead of the match against KKR.

Crowe pointed out one notable aspect of Pant’s leadership style, which might seem minor but is significant: he makes it a point to greet every individual in the room with a handshake when he arrives as captain. “That gesture fosters an inclusive atmosphere, making everyone feel valued and connected, which I find admirable,” he stated.

According to Crowe, while Pant endeavors to support his bowlers, he also relies on the seasoned players in the squad for guidance. The LSG lineup includes prominent figures such as South African captain Aiden Markram, Australian captain Mitchell Marsh, and former West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran.
