Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who is currently focused on his eagerly awaited film “Spirit,” took a break from his commitments to attend a screening of “Dhurandhar 2,” featuring Ranveer Singh, at a cinema in Hyderabad. He was joined by Prabhas, the lead actor in “Spirit.”
The duo was quickly recognized by fans at the theater, and images of them enjoying the film quickly spread across social media platforms. They were spotted in the premium seating area, appearing deeply engaged in Aditya Dhar’s latest cinematic venture.
In a tweet, a fan expressed excitement about their outing, stating, “Prabhas & Vanga very happy after watching Dhurandhar 2. Now it’s our turn to deliver a blockbuster with Spirit!” accompanied by a fiery emoji.
This appearance follows a previous controversy involving Vanga and Deepika Padukone, who is married to Ranveer Singh. Padukone had exited the project “Spirit” after her requests for an eight-hour workday were not accommodated. Sources indicate that Vanga was unwilling to meet her demands.
Following her departure, Vanga made a pointed comment on social media, implying that an unnamed actor had leaked the script of “Spirit.” He stated, “When I narrate a story to an actor, I do so with complete trust. There exists an unspoken Non-Disclosure Agreement. By doing this, you’ve revealed the kind of person you are… undermining a younger actor and disclosing my story? Is this what your feminism represents? As a filmmaker, I invest years into my craft; filmmaking is my all. You didn’t understand it, and you never will. Next time, feel free to share the entire plot because it doesn’t affect me in the slightest. #dirtyPRgames.”
Despite the past tensions, Vanga has previously praised “Dhurandhar.” When the film’s first installment was released in December, he took to social media to commend its director, Aditya Dhar, and lead actor, Ranveer Singh. He described “Dhurandhar” as a film that embodies strength and clarity, praising its music, performances, screenplay, and direction. Vanga particularly acknowledged the lead actors for their immersive performances, thanking Dhar for creating a film that reflects “untold sacrifices.”
Meanwhile, “Dhurandhar 2” continues to perform impressively at the box office, having amassed a gross of Rs 1,246.67 crore and a net of Rs 1,041.27 crore domestically, with a worldwide total of Rs 1,653.67 crore.
