The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unveiled its manifesto, titled ‘Sankalp Patra’, for the forthcoming 2026 assembly elections in West Bengal on Friday, making notable commitments aimed at supporting women. Among the key promises is a monthly financial assistance of Rs 3,000 for women, alongside a pledge to empower 7.5 million women under the initiative ‘Lakhpati Didi.’

In addition to these financial initiatives, the BJP has vowed to establish at least one dedicated women’s police station in every sub-division, as well as a Nari Sohayata Desk in every police precinct. The manifesto emphasizes the party’s commitment to ensuring the safety and dignity of women across various settings, including busy urban areas, educational institutions, hostels, and public spaces. It advocates for stringent law enforcement and a zero-tolerance stance toward crimes against women.
