In recent weeks, Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu has been engaging in spontaneous public interactions. On Thursday, he encouraged residents to connect with him directly through the reinstated ‘LG Listening Post’ initiative and his Secretariat.
The LG Listening Post, a platform for grievance resolution, was initially launched in 2007 during the administration of former Delhi Lieutenant Governor Tejendra Khanna. A specialized team, led by a senior officer within the LG Secretariat, has been established to manage and resolve the grievances submitted by the public.
According to an official release, numerous issues related to civic agencies such as the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Delhi Development Authority, and the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board have been resolved in recent weeks, following reports on social media and discussions during public engagements.
The Lieutenant Governor has also instructed for the application to be updated to align with the latest Android versions.
Officials noted that while some complaints may be trivial or motivated by personal agendas, many others are legitimate and can be resolved quickly, leading to satisfactory outcomes for the complainants. “Numerous complaints, although submitted by individuals, reflect the concerns of larger communities. Addressing these issues could resolve persistent problems that have previously gone unaddressed due to neglect,” stated an official.
